The honorary doctorate of Commonwealth University is conferred upon illustrious personalities who have distinguished themselves in society through service, selflessness, and other outstanding contributions. The selection criteria follow a rigorous process initiated by our alumni, who identify potential candidates with the requisite credentials. The candidates are then screened by the Alumni Peer Review Committee and potential awardees are forwarded to the Academic Council for the final decision.
This year’s bestowal ceremony will be preceded by the Dubai Leadership Summit, which will be held at Jacobs Garden Hotel, Bur, Dubai from October 25 – 26, 2022. This year’s summit will focus on “Growth and Sustainability Strategies For Top Leaders, Professionals & Entrepreneurs”. At the end of the seminar, you will receive a Master-Class Certificate in Leadership and Management from the London Graduate School and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Commonwealth University of Business Arts & Technology.

Who is Dr. Shamsuddeen Abubakar
Dr. Shamsuddeen (CEO/ CIRTDA) was born on 13th August 1990 and he is an indigene of Malumfashi L.G of Katsina State of Nigeria.
He holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Degree from the prestigious international university of Africa, Khartoum, and a master in Public Laws (LL.M) And also Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences, Omdurman of Sudan Republic.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar and He is a Sharia Law Specialist with much interest in International Humanitarian Law.
Shamsu has over 6 Years of experience in teaching and lecturing Sharia Law in various institutions; he is currently working as Lecturer 1 (One) with the Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina- Nigeria.
He has attended many workshops, Seminars, and conferences both within and outside Nigeria.
He is a Legal Practitioner and Active member of different professional bodies and also engages in various community services. He has published papers and articles in both local and international journals and participates in Radio and Television discussions.
He is currently holding several influential positions at both public, private and nongovernmental organizations within and outside Katsina as well as Nigeria as a whole.
